San Diego, CA – U.S. Marshals apprehended Anthony Lorenzi,
wanted for murder by the Chicago Police Department, Friday afternoon in
Chula Vista, California.
Lorenzi, 34, is wanted for the shooting
deaths of a young couple, Gyovanny Arzuaga and Yasmin Perez, who were
attacked and shot shortly after being involved in a minor car accident
June 20 in Chicago. The incident left their two young children orphaned.
The U.S. Marshals San Diego Fugitive Task Force adopted the
warrant for Lorenzi after information was developed that Lorenzi had
fled to Southern California. The Marshals located Lorenzi and arrested
him without incident near the intersection of Palm Avenue and Hollister
Street in Chula Vista.
The U.S. Marshal San Diego Fugitive Task
Force is comprised of the following agencies: San Diego Sheriff’s
Office, Escondido PD, La Mesa PD, El Cajon PD, ATF, DEA, FBI, HSI, US
Border Patrol, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations, Chula Vista PD,
National City PD, and California Department of Corrections &
Rehabilitation.
