U.S. Marshals Arrest Colerain Township Shooting Suspect in Cincinnati

Cincinnati, OH – During the mid-morning hours of January 15, 2020, the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested fugitive Rafael Johnston on an outstanding warrant from the Municipal Court of Hamilton County, Ohio for Felonious Assault.

On December 28, 2019, Johnston was allegedly involved in an assault of a male victim within the Colerain, Ohio area; the victim was shot three times during the assault. Colerain Police Department investigators filed an arrest warrant for Johnston. The U.S. Marshals SOFAST in Cincinnati, OH, with assistance from the Colerain Police Department, developed information Johnston was in the 3300 block of North Bend Road in Cincinnati, OH. SOFAST quickly arrested Johnston without incident.

Johnston is currently in custody at the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
