Attempted Murderer Arrested by U.S. Marshals Task Force

Memphis, TN – Anthony Love was arrested today after allegedly shooting his girlfriend in the back of her head.

Love was wanted for carjacking his victim on January 30 and also attempting to murder her. He was in violation of a protection order the victim had filed.

The fugitive was tracked to the 2400 block of Charjean. The door where he was staying had to be forced open by investigators with the task force, who had a warrant.

Love was wanted for Attempted First Degree Murder, Kidnapping, Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Assault, Harassment and five charges of Violation of an Order of Protection. Love was transported to the Shelby County Jail without incident.

The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force with divisions in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. The Western Tennessee Division of the GCRFTF has offices in Memphis and Jackson, and its membership is primarily composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, BATF, and the Tennessee Department of Corrections Special Agents. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
