U.S. Marshals Service Arrest Kansas Man for Machine Gun and Drug Possession Charges

Topeka, KS – On Thursday, December 27th, the Kansas Fugitive Apprehension Task Force (KFATF), Topeka Division arrested Aaron Christopher Gullick, age 29, in Topeka, Kansas. Gullick was wanted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) for Unlawful possession of a machine gun, possession of a machine gun in furtherance of a controlled substance offense, possession of an unregistered machine gun, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Gullick was also wanted by the Shawnee County Sheriff’s office for probation violation (aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery) and probation violation (possession of a controlled substance).The ATF and Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the KFATF in locating and apprehending Gullick. Gullick has a history of violence in his background, to include arrests for domestic battery, aggravated assault, and drug possession. Gullick was also believed to be in possession of an AK-47 and two handguns.

Pursuant to a fugitive investigation, the KFATF was able to locate Gullick at a residence in Topeka, KS. After days of surveillance, Gullick was observed backing into the driveway of a residence. KFATF and the Kansas Highway Patrol conducted a coordinated vehicle takedown which led to Gullick’s arrest. The arrest led to the seizure one AR-15 rifle, three handguns, quantities of methamphetamine and marijuana, various types and quantities of ammunition, and $7,114.00 in U.S. Currency. Gullick was booked into jail and is awaiting further court proceedings. Serving arrest warrants on violent offenders and drug dealers is a top priority of the United States Marshals Service.
