U.S. Marshals Task Force Arrests Sexual Assault Suspect

York, PA – Today, United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Kenneth Weaver, 30, in York, PA.

On September 27, 2018, an arrest warrant was obtained by York City Police Department charging Weaver with aggravated indecent assault of a child and other various sex related offenses. It is alleged that Weaver had sexual contact with a minor in York. This information was reported to police in July of 2018.

Today, Weaver was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force at a residence on North Broad Street in York without incident. Weaver was turned over to local authorities and awaits further court proceedings.

U.S. Marshal Pane said, “The U.S. Marshals Service recognizes the importance of close cooperation with state and local police officers, especially when investigating offenders who commit crimes against minors. It is my sincere hope that the victim finds some measure of comfort knowing the alleged offender will face justice.”

The USMS Fugitive Task Force is comprised of 20 state and local police agencies, including the York City Police Department, York County Sheriff’s Office, Spring Garden Township Police Department and the York County District Attorney’s Office. All of whom participated in this investigation.
