Foreign Fugitive Taken Into Custody
Suspect Facing Child Pornography Charges
In June 2011, Waggoner, 65, was formally indicted
by a grand jury in Kerr County District Court for allegedly committing
58 counts of Possession of Child Pornography and 58 counts of Promotion
of Child Pornography, but was subsequently released on bond. In
September 2013, a warrant was issued for Waggoner’s arrest for allegedly
absconding from supervision and failing to appear in court. Deputy U.S.
Marshals from the LSFTF were contacted by Kerrville Police Department
detectives for assistance in locating and apprehending Waggoner.
Marshals initiated an investigation and determined that Waggoner had
fled to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
“Every year the U.S. Marshals Service coordinates
the apprehension of fugitives both foreign and domestic,” said U.S.
Marshal Susan Pamerleau. “We will continue the pursuit and apprehension
of these fugitives to ensure that they are held accountable for the
crimes they commit.”
