Texas Top 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender Captured
Apprehended by authorities in Marble Falls

Lone Star Fugitive Task ForceAustin, TX – A man who was featured on the “Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders” list with the Texas Department of Public Safety, was arrested this morning in the 2500 block of U.S. Highway 281 in Marble Falls, Texas, by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the Marble Falls Police Department.

Joseph Michael Gore, 32, who was added to the list on July 18, was sought on two warrants issued for failure to register as a sex offender with Tom Green and Reagan County Sheriff’s Departments.

On Aug. 1, a joint fugitive investigation was initiated between the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.

In 2013, Gore was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child involving a 13-year-old girl in Irion County. In 2014, Gore was convicted of sexual assault of a child involving a 16-year-old girl in Tom Green County. Gore was sentenced to 10 years of probation on both offenses and required to register as a sex offender every three months for a lifetime.

Gore was apprehended without incident and has been booked into the Burnet County Jail awaiting extradition.

The working relationship with the Texas Department of Public Safety and the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force has led to the apprehension of two “Texas Top 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders” during the month of August.
