|SOFAST Task Force Arrests Murder Suspect|
Colerain Township, OH - U.S. Marshal Pete Tobin is pleased to
announce that during the morning hours of August 7, 2018, the U.S.
Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST),
Colerain Township Police Department, and Hamilton County Sheriff’s
Office Fugitive Unit arrested Fugitive Rondell Hooks on an outstanding
warrant from the Hamilton County Common Pleas Court, for the charges of
Murder, Felonious Assault, Weapons Violations and Aggravated Robbery.
On August 3, 2018, Hooks was indicted by a Hamilton County Grand Jury. Hooks allegedly assaulted an unidentified victim in the North College Hill area with a firearm on November 9, 2016; the victim succumbed to his injuries after the assault. North College Hill Police Department investigated the criminal offense. This warrant was assigned to the U.S. Marshals Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST). Colerain Township Police Department and SOFAST developed information and quickly located Hooks in the 3000 Block of Sunbury Lane, in Colerain, Ohio and arrested him without incident.
Hooks is currently in custody at the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
Cincinnati’s SOFAST is a fugitive focused, U.S. Marshals Service-led task force consisting of local, state, and federal authorities including the Adult Parole Authority, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Butler County Probation Office, Cincinnati Police Department, Colerain Township Police Department, Department of Homeland Security/ Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Golf Manor Police Department, Harrison Police Department, Social Security Administration Office of the Inspector General, and Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.
