Mountain State Fugitive Task Force LogoMartinsburg, WV – The U.S. Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force today arrested an Atlanta man wanted by the Atlanta Police Department for aggravated assault with a weapon, which took place during a domestic dispute, and cruelty toward a child in an incident on July 10.

Michael Colclough, 47, was arrested without incident early this morning at a place of business on Caperton Blvd. in Martinsburg, where it is believed he had obtained employment. In July, the Atlanta Police Department asked the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force to assist in locating Colclough. Information was developed that Colclough had fled Georgia and was staying in West Virginia.

Colclough is being held in Eastern Regional Jail in Martinsburg, awaiting extradition back to Atlanta to answer to his charges.

The Mountain State Fugitive Task Force is a U.S. Marshals-led fugitive task force whose primary mission is to help make communities safer by locating and capturing fugitives charged with murders, robberies, drug crimes, sexual assaults and other violent felony offenses.
