U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Arrests Robbery Suspect
Scranton, PA - United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of William Hurt, 25, in Simpson, PA.

In March of 2018, the Scranton Police Department obtained an arrest warrant charging Hurt with aggravated assault, robbery and various other offenses for an incident that occurred on March 15, 2018. It is alleged that Hurt physically beat and took some possessions belonging to the victim.

Yesterday, U.S. Marshals and their task force partners located Hurt in the Simpson, PA area and arrested him without incident. Hurt was turned over to local authorities pending court proceedings.

United States Marshal Pane stated, United States Marshal Pane stated, “We will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to rid our community of those charged with such heinous crimes. It is my sincere hope that the victim’s family finds some measure of comfort knowing the suspect will face justice.”

The USMS Fugitive Task Force worked jointly in these investigations with members from the Scranton Police Department.
