U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Arrests Robbery Suspects
Williamsport, PA - United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Maleak Benjamin, 21, and James Benjamin, 40, in Williamsport, PA.

On June 18 and 19, 2018, the Williamsport City Police Department obtained an arrest warrant charging Maleak and James Benjamin with robbery and various other offenses for an incident that occurred in April 2018. It is alleged that James and Maleak conspired to rob their victim at gunpoint outside of a local convenience store.

Earlier today, U.S. Marshals and their task force partners located Maleak in the 1200 block of Franklin Street in Williamsport and arrested him without incident. James was also located and arrested without incident in the 2300 block of West 4th Street in Williamsport , two firearms were also recovered. Both were turned over to local authorities pending court proceedings.

U.S. Marshal Pane said, “The U.S. Marshals Service recognizes the importance of close cooperation with state and local law enforcement especially when investigating offenders who commit violent personal crimes. It is my sincere hope that the victim of this crime finds some measure of comfort knowing the alleged offenders will face justice.”

The USMS Fugitive Task Force worked jointly in these investigations with members from the Williamsport City Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole as well as the Lycoming County Sheriff’s Office.
