U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Arrests Aggravated Assault Suspect
Scranton, PA - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Jaimie Mozelski, 35, in Mount Pleasant Mills, PA.

The Pennsylvania State Police obtained an arrest warrant charging Mozelski with multiple counts of aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another, fleeing and eluding and additional offenses for an incident occurring on May 13, 2018 in the Borough of Duryea. It is alleged that Officers from the Duryea Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle in the 300 block of Main St, Duryea Borough, for a traffic offense. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Mozelski, failed to pull over and led police on a chase which ended shortly after striking a police vehicle multiple times and fleeing into the woods on foot.

Yesterday, US Marshals and members of fugitive task force located and arrested Mozelski without incident in the 1600 block of Paradise Church Rd, Mount Pleasant Mills, PA. Mozelski was turned over to local authorities pending judicial proceedings.

United States Marshal Martin J. Pane stated, “This fugitive put the community and law enforcement at risk. I commend the fugitive task force for their diligence in apprehending Mozelski before someone else got seriously hurt.”

The USMS worked jointly in these investigations with personnel from the Pennsylvania State Police, Williamsport Police Department, Lycoming County Sheriffs, Union County Sheriffs and the Scranton Police Department.
