|Attempted Homicide Suspect Arrested by U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Camp Hill|

Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Travis Stambaugh, 32, in Camp
On April 18, 2016, the Lewistown Police Department obtained an arrest warrant charging Stambaugh with criminal attempt – criminal homicide, aggravated assault, robbery and other related offenses for his involvement in a shooting which occurred in Lewistown on April 10th. It is believed Stambaugh shot the victim, a 46 year old male, in the head and robbed him in a home on South Street, Lewistown. A Pennsylvania Probation and Parole warrant was also issued on April 18th for parole violations.
U.S. Marshals and its task force partners located and arrested Stambaugh without incident in the 1300 block of Mallard Drive in Camp Hill. He was turned over to local authorities for pending criminal proceedings.
United States Marshal Pane stated, “The coordination and cooperation demonstrated by law enforcement in this case led directly to a dangerous fugitive being taken off the streets. It is our top priority to arrest violent crime fugitives, especially those who have no regard for human life.”
During this fugitive investigation, the USMS worked jointly with officers from the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole, Lewistown Police Department, Harrisburg City Police Department, York City Police Department, York County Sheriff’s Office and the Northern York Area Regional Police Department.
