U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Arrests York County Rape Suspect
York, PA - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Nathan Yankelov, 19, in Stewartstown, PA.

On March 14, 2018, the York City Police Department obtained an arrest warrant charging Yankelov with rape forcible compulsion and other related offense. The offenses are alleged to have occurred in York City in November 2017. This morning, U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Yankelov without incident in the 100 block of Crosstie Drive in Stewartstown. Yankelov was turned over to local authorities pending court proceedings.

United States Marshal Martin J. Pane stated, “It is important to bring those charged with serious sex crimes to justice. It is my hope that the victim will find comfort knowing the alleged attacker is now in custody.”

The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force worked jointly in this investigation with members from the York City Police Department, York County District Attorney’s Office, York County Sheriff’s Office, Pennsylvania State Police and the Northern York Area Regional Police Department.
