Fugitive Arrested in Houston for 2011 Gangland Murder of 1-Year-Old
New Orleans, LA - Notorious gang member Larry “Larry Love” Scott, 26, was arrested and charged with the infamous slaying of 1-year-old victim Keira Holmes who was killed in the cross fire of a gun battle between rival gang members in the courtyard of the Calliope housing development.

A sealed indictment was handed down March 1, 2018 charging Scott along with four co-conspirators in one of the most notorious and highly publicized murders in New Orleans’ recent history. Members of the US Marshals Service New Orleans office arrested two of the alleged triggermen shortly after the incident in 2011; However, Scott had not yet been implicated in the crime and remained at large. The new charging documents identifing Scott as a culprit were forwaded to the US Marshals New Orleans office who immediately worked the case in an attempt to locate and arrest Scott before the case got unsealed.

The investigation developed information indicating Scott fled Louisiana and was now hiding in the Houston area. This information was quickly forwaded to the US Marshals Houston office for further action. As a result of the outstanding interoffice coordination, Scott was located and arrested in Houston by members of the S/TX Fugitive Task Force without incident.

“This arrest was the culmination of subperb team work” said US Marshals New Orleans Enforcement Supervisor Walter Martin IV. “It’s a testament to the talented group of professionals who work tirelessly every day to bring fugitives to justice no mater where they flee to hide”. He further stated: “This was a particularly horryfiying case involving the murder of an innocent child whose life was cut short by sensless violence – It was satisfying to know our efforts helped take this violent gang member off the streets to face justice for this callous and cowardly act”.

Scott’s four accomplices were in-custody on other gang related offenses. Each of them, including Scott, now face a minimum punishment of mandatory life imprisonment if convicted of first-degree murder in the killing of Keira Holmes.
