U.S. MARSHALS FUGITIVE TASK FORCE ARRESTS ROAD RAGE SUSPECT
York, Pa. – Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Emmanuel Villalobos-Mendez, 29, in York, PA.

The Maryland State Police obtained an arrest warrant charging Villalobos-Mendez with assault in the first degree for an incident occurring on August 11, 2017. It is alleged that Villalobos-Mendez brandished a firearm during a road rage incident while travelling in Maryland. The victims were two adults who were travelling with a young child and an infant at the time of the incident. Maryland State Police were able to identify the suspect as Villalobos-Mendez and obtained the warrant on October 5, 2017. Earlier today, US Marshals and members of fugitive task force located and arrested Villalobos-Mendez without incident. Villalobos-Mendez was located in the 300 block of South Albemarle Street in York. Villalobos-Mendez was turned over to local authorities pending his extradition to Maryland.

United States Marshal Martin J. Pane stated, “Assault of any kind has no place in our community especially when innocent children are put in peril. It is my sincere hope that this arrest brings some sense of comfort to the victims.”

The USMS worked jointly in these investigations with personnel from the York City Police Department, York County Sheriff’s Office, York County District Attorney’s Office and the Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole.
