U.S. MARSHALS FUGITIVE TASK FORCE SEIZED GUNS AND DRUGS DURING ARREST OF YORK DRUG AND PAROLE VIOLATOR
York, PA – United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force arrested Flair Griggs in York, PA

On August 17, 2017, the York City Police Department obtained an arrest warrant charging Griggs with a drug offense. Griggs was also wanted on a warrant issued by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole on August 18, 2017 for parole violation. The case was adopted by the USMS Fugitive Task Force out of York, PA. Information was developed that Griggs was still in the area. On September 12, 2017, Deputy U.S. Marshals and task force officers located and arrested Griggs in the 100 block of North Pine Street. Griggs was arrested after he and others attempted to flee police at the scene. Found at the residence after the execution of a search warrant were drugs and five guns. Multiple other individuals at the scene will now face additional charges.

United States Marshal Martin J. Pane stated, “The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force places a priority on fugitive cases in which the spread of drugs throughout the community exists. Our community will not be a safe haven for those charged with such violent crimes. We will seek them out.”

The USMS worked jointly in this investigation with personnel from the York City Police Department, Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole, York County Sheriff’s Office, Spring Garden Township Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police and the York County District Attorney’s Office.
