Massachusetts Murder Suspect Arrested in Patterson, CA
FRESNO, Calif. – The search for wanted fugitive Emilio Delarose is over. With assistance of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department, Patterson Division, U.S. Marshals located and arrested him today at approximately 7 a.m. at a Patterson, California home where he was allegedly living.

On Sept. 13, 2016, the Honorable L. Rooney, Justice for the Lawrence District, Essex County, issued an arrest warrant for Delarosa for murder.

Case facts indicated that Delarose was previously convicted of attempted murder, kidnapping and assault and battery on a pregnant victim, his ex-girlfriend. He recently completed a four-year prison sentence for the aforementioned charges. Shortly after his release on Sept. 12, 2016, Delarosa allegedly murdered his ex-girlfriend in front of their 4-year-old child. He fled Essex County and had been on the run since.

On Sept. 3, 2017, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department, Patterson Division, received a confidential tip, describing Delarosa and his possible location in Patterson. Deputies from the Stanislaus County Sherriff’s Department and U.S. Marshals immediately attempted to locate and arrest him. After several days of surveillance and investigation, Delarosa was identified.

At approximately 7 a.m., Delarosa was observed entering a vehicle at the residence where he was staying. All units subsequently conducted a vehicle stop, at which time Delarosa was taken into custody.

Delarosa was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail and is awaiting extradition to Massachusetts.
