Operation Alpha and Omega Update
Albuquerque, N.M - The U.S. Marshals Service for the District of New Mexico is conducting a statewide fugitive gang operation named Operation Alpha and Omega, partnering with the New Mexico Department of Corrections (NMCD) and local law enforcement agencies across the state. The operation began May 15 and will is slated to conclude Dec. 31.

The two primary sources of felony warrants are the NMCD – Probation Parole Security Threat Intelligence Unit and the District of New Mexico Federal Probation Office. These warrants will include, but are not specifically limited to, probation violators, parole retake warrants, and other gang-related fugitives with felony warrants.

Since the operation began, the U.S. Marshals Service, along with its task force partners, has arrested 38 fugitives with gang connections. Two notable arrests occurred here Tuesday. John Lister, a suspected Burquenos gang member, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for possession of a firearm or destructive device by a felon. Nathan Pacheco was wanted on outstanding warrants for aggravated burglary with a deadly weapon; aggravated assault against a household member with a deadly weapon; criminal damage to property; battery; and possession of burglary tools.
