York, PA - The U.S. Marshals Middle Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force today arrested two suspects wanted in a criminal homicide that occurred Sunday here.

Monday the York City Police Department obtained an arrest warrant Jose Castro-Oquendo, 31, and Juan Castro-Oquendo, 35, charging them with criminal homicide. The victim was shot Sunday after a physical altercation involving the two suspects. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

U.S. Marshals and its task force partners located and arrested both suspects without incident today in the 900 block of East Market Street in York. They were turned over to local authorities pending judicial proceedings.

“Along with our law enforcement partners it’s the Marshals Services duty to ensure those charged with serious crimes have their day in court,” said U.S. Marshal for the Middle District of Pennsylvania Martin J. Pane. “It is my sincere hope that the victims’ family will find some measure of comfort knowing the suspects in this case will face justice.”

The USMS worked jointly in this investigation with officers from the York City Police Department, York County Sheriff’s Office and the Pennsylvania State Police.
