Marshals task force catches Memphis murder suspect in Dallas
Memphis, Tenn. - A suspect wanted for murder in Memphis ran to Dallas, but he could not evade U.S. Marshals task forces.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant June 30 for the arrest of Avalon Davis on charges of first-degree murder, especially aggravated robbery and aggravated robbery. The case was adopted by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force based in Memphis.

After information was developed that placed Davis in Dallas, Texas, local task force members contacted their counterparts at the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force. Davis was located Monday in Dallas and was taken into custody without incident. At this time he is in a Dallas area holding facility.
