US Marshals task force arrests 3-count murder suspect
Memphis, Tenn. - A man wanted for three murders committed in 2015 in the Memphis area was arrested by U.S. Marshals task forces today. September 26, 2015, Anthony Isom, Chasity Springfield, and Michael Glover were killed in the area of 1500 Lake Grove, Memphis. In January 2017 the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Tony Thomas on three counts of first-degree murder

Shortly after the warrant was issued, the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Task Force in Memphis adopted the case. Investigators with the task force were able to track Thomas to the Wilmington, North Carolina, area. Deputy U.S. Marshals with the Wilmington office arrested the fugitive this morning without incident. At this time Thomas is in a Wilmington area holding facility awaiting extradition.

This is the second time in two days that a first-degree murder suspect wanted for a murder in the Memphis area has been arrested out of state by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force. On Monday, Avalon Davis was arrested in Dallas for the alleged murder of Uti Makisini.
