U.S. Marshals Task Force Targets Sex Crimes
Memphis, TN - In 2017 the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force has been placing extra emphasis on catching fugitives accused of sex crimes.

Investigators with the task force on Thursday located and arrested Larreal Brown in Los Angeles. Brown was wanted by Shelby County on accusations of aggravated rape, especially aggravated kidnapping, especially aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.

Brown is the 31st person alleged to have committed sex crimes arrested by the task force in 2017.

“These kinds of crimes are particularly heinous,” said U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Tennessee Jeff Holt. “This task force will continue to vigorously pursue fugitives accused of these crimes.”

The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force is a multi-agency task force with divisions in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. The Western Tennessee Division of the GCRFTF has offices in Memphis and Jackson, and its membership is primarily composed of Deputy U.S. Marshals, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies, Memphis Police Officers, Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jackson Police Officers, and the Tennessee Department of Corrections Special Agents. The primary mission of the Task Force is to arrest violent offenders and sexual predators.
