Homicide Suspect Arrested by U.S. Marshals Task Force in Wilkes-Barre
Scranton, PA - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced that the United States Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force arrested Antoine McNeal, 33, yesterday in Wilkes-Barre.

On January 19, 2017 the Pennsylvania State Police obtained an arrest warrant for McNeal charging him with criminal homicide, possession of firearm prohibited, criminal use of communication facility and tamer with/fabricate physical evidence. Allegedly, on January 18, 2017, McNeal shot his victim multiple times outside a residence in the 100 block of West Church Street in Nanticoke. The victim was pronounced dead at a local area hospital after being taken there for treatment.

U.S. Marshals and its task force partners, located and arrested McNeal yesterday who was hiding in a residence in the 300 block of East Northampton Street in Wilkes-Barre. Also arrested was a Wakeelah Moore who was charged with hindering apprehension. McNeal and Moore were turned over to local authorities pending judicial proceedings.

United States Marshal Pane stated, “Along with our law enforcement partners it’s the Marshals Services duty to ensure those charged with serious crimes have their day in court. It is my sincere hope that the victims’ family will find some measure of comfort knowing the suspect in this case will face justice.”

The USMS worked jointly in this investigation with officers from the Pennsylvania State Police, Scranton Police Department and the Wilkes-Barre Police Department.
