Dane County Fugitive Arrested by U.S. Marshals in Cleveland, Ohio
Madison, WI - Devon Webb, 26, from Madison, was arrested today in Cleveland, OH by members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force. An arrest warrant had been issued pursuant to an investigation by the Madison Police Department where it is alleged that Webb lured an underage minor female to a Madison area hotel and attempted to have sexual contact with the victim. Webb was charged with child enticement-sexual contact, false imprisonment, intimidating a victim, and impersonating a peace officer to aid in the commission of a crime, all felony charges.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Badgerland Fugitive Apprehension Squad initiated an investigation into locating and apprehending Webb. Through investigative efforts it was determined that Webb had left Madison and fled to Cleveland, OH. Members of U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force were able to locate and arrest Webb in Cleveland, OH. Webb is currently being held in custody at the Cuyahogo County Jail where he awaits extradition back to Madison.

The Badgerland Violent Fugitive Task Force is comprised of members of the U.S. Marshals Service, Dane County Sheriff’s Department, Sauk County Sheriff’s Department, Wisconsin Department of Corrections and Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigations (DCI). Since the inception of the Badgerland Fugitive Apprehension Squad in 2007, these partnerships have resulted in over 2,494 arrests. These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, sexual assault, aggravated assault, sex offender registration violations, weapons offenses, probation and parole violations and numerous other violent offenses.

The U.S. Marshals Service, established in 1789, is the nation’s oldest federal law enforcement agency. More federal fugitives are apprehended by the U.S. Marshals each year than by all other federal agencies combined.
