U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Arrests Jefferson County
Fugitive on Drug and Fleeing Charges
MSFTF LogoMartinsburg, WV - On February 02, 2017, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office referred warrants for Tavon Blue, 33, of Baltimore, Maryland to the Mountain State Fugitive Task Force for apprehension. Tavon Blue’s charges stemmed from an attempted vehicle stop on January 27, 2017 where Blue fled from Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies into Maryland. The pursuit was eventually terminated due to public safety. Jefferson County conducted investigations which lead to the issuance of warrants February 01, 2017 charging Tavon Blue with Possession with Intent to Distribute Drugs and Felony Fleeing with Reckless Indifference.

On February 08, 2017 members of the United States Marshals Service fugitive task force in Baltimore, Maryland tracked down and arrested Tavon Blue at 9727 Summer Park Ct, Columbia, Maryland without incident. Blue was charged as a fugitive from justice and awaits extradition back to West Virginia on his charges.
The Mountain State Fugitive Task Force (MSFTF) is a U.S. Marshals Service lead fugitive task force who works with local law enforcement agencies in order to locate and capture fugitives charged with Murder, Armed Robberies, Malicious Assaults, Sexual Assaults, Drug Offences and other violent felony crimes.
