Albuquerque, NM - Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers assigned to the U.S. Marshals Service Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) Task Force arrested Suspected Child Abuser, Gregory Paul Pierce, age 30. Julia Kirsch, age 29, was also arrested for Bribery or Intimidation of a Witness. Both individuals were wanted for their part in a suspected incident that occurred in October 2016 in which a child was burned with a cigarette lighter or torch device. United States Marshal Conrad E. Candelaria said, “It is unconscionable that anyone would hurt a child and for this reason alone, the Marshals Service for the District of New Mexico relentlessly pursues the apprehension of those fugitives that cause injury to children. The most cherished segment of any society and community are its children and the Marshals Service embraces a fundamental priority to keep all children safe by pursuing child predators with every legal means and with all the investigative resources at its disposal”.
