Mountain State Fugitive Task Force Arrests Missouri Homicide Fugitive in Boonsboro Maryland
MSFTF LogoMartinsburg, WV -.On October 25, 2016 the Mountain State Fugitive Task Force comprised, of members from the United States Marshals Service and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, teamed up with the Washington County Fugitive unit to arrest Devin Wiekhorst, 40, of Missouri.

On October 24, 2016 the Mountain State Fugitive Task Force received information from the West Virginia State Police that Devin Wiekhorst a fugitive from Missouri wanted on the charge of manslaughter was in the Tri-State area and most likely residing in Maryland. Initial investigations confirmed the State Police’s information.

A check of warrant systems showed Wiekhorst was charged with Homicide by means of Involuntary Manslaughter by the Texas County Sheriff’s Office in Missouri. The charged stemmed from the death of a minor child on July 26, 2016 in the care of Devin Wiekhorst. Mrs. Wiekhorst had relocated to the Boonsboro, Maryland area. An address on N. Main St in Boonsboro Maryland was developed as a possible location for Wiekhorst.

On October 25, 2016 Members of the United States Marshals Service, Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Maryland State Police located and arrested Devin Wiekhorst at the N. Main St, Boonsboro, Maryland address without incident.

Wiekhorst was processed by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office as a fugitive from justice to be returned to Missouri.

The Mountain State Fugitive Task Force (MSFTF) is a U.S. Marshals Service lead fugitive task force which works with local law enforcement agencies in order to locate and capture fugitives charged with Murder, Armed Robberies, Malicious Assaults, Sexual Assaults, Drug Offences and other violent felony crimes.
