U.S. Marshals Nab Alleged Drug Dealer after a Year in the Run in Greensboro, NC
 

Greensboro, NC - On August 19, 2016 at approximately 7:30 a.m., Antonio Ramon Pinnix, 28, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF) and the Greensboro Police Department Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT). On July 20, 2016, warrants were issued by the Reidsville Police Department charging Pinnix with Possession of Firearm by a Felon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Trafficking Heroin, and Felony Possession of Cocaine. Pinnix was also wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service since June of 2015 for Distribution of Cocaine (six counts) and Possession of Firearm by a felon.

The JFTF received information which led the JFTF to the Relax Inn Motel at 1747 McKnight Mill Road. The JFTF and VCAT surrounded the room where Pinnix was located. Contact was made with Pinnix and he was arrested without incident.

Pinnix was booked into the Guilford County Jail where he was served with three additional warrants out of Guilford County including felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana. Pinnix was given a bond of $142,000 on all of the Guilford and Rockingham County charges. The U.S. Marshals Service filed a detainer with the Guilford County Jail on the Federal charges.

The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force for the Middle District of North Carolina is comprised of investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service, Chapel Hill Police Department, Durham Police Department, Greensboro Police Department, High Point Police Department, Winston-Salem Police Department, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Department of Community Corrections – Probation & Parole and the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
