U.S. Marshals Task Force Arrests New Jersey Shooting Suspect in Tobyhanna
Scranton, PA - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Tanika Mack, a 24-year old woman formerly of Trenton, New Jersey.

On June 6, 2016, the Trenton Police Department investigated a shooting in the 800 block of East State Street in Trenton. Witnesses told officers that Mack fired multiple shots from a firearm, striking a victim in the leg. Detectives subsequently obtained an arrest warrant charging Mack with Aggravated Assault with a Firearm. They obtained information that Mack may have fled to Pennsylvania and requested the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force to locate and apprehend her.

This morning, deputy marshals and fugitive task force members from the Scranton office located and arrested Mack without incident at a residence in the 5600 block of Pembrook Drive, Tobyhanna. She was turned over to the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department to be charged as a fugitive from justice pending her extradition back to New Jersey.

United States Marshal Pane stated, “The U.S. Marshals Service will continue to cooperate between federal, state and local police agencies to ensure violent fugitives who flee across jurisdictional lines are brought to justice.”

The USMS Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of Pennsylvania is comprised of 21 state, county and local police agencies; including the Pennsylvania State Police and the Scranton Police Department. The Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department also participated in this investigation.
