U.S. Marshals Hunt for Alleged Murderer in Double-Shooting Case
Reward of up to $2,500 being offered for information leading to fugitive’s arrest
**UPDATE: Dominick Cruz was Apprehended in Lancaster, PA on April 01, 2016**
Buffalo, NY - The U.S. Marshals are turning up the heat in the search for western New York fugitive Dominick Cruz, the alleged gunman in a deadly parking lot shooting in Tonawanda, New York, in January.

On Jan. 10, Cruz, 39, allegedly shot 25-year-old Mark Sternin and 24-year-old Tyler Sadauskas during an altercation, killing Sternin and critically wounding Sadauskas. Authorities quickly identified Cruz as the suspect, and were able to track him to his place of employment two days later where they planned to arrest him. Unfortunately, their plan fell through when Cruz learned of their arrival and escaped out of a side door.

“Dominick Cruz’s blatant disregard for human life and the law have made this case a top priority for us,” said U.S. Marshal Charles Salina of the Western District of New York. “Our deputy U.S. marshals and our federal, state and local law enforcement partners will leave no stone unturned until this dangerous fugitive faces justice.”

Authorities believe Cruz may have fled the state a few weeks after the crime. He has ties in the cities of Buffalo and Rochester, New York, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Chicago, Illinois, and the state of New Jersey, and possibly Puerto Rico, but his whereabouts are currently unknown. He has an extensive criminal history and is currently wanted by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office for murder, attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.

“Because of his criminal history and the brutal nature of this crime, Cruz should be considered armed and dangerous,” said Salina.

The fugitive is a 5-foot-4 male of Puerto Rican decent weighing 140 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He also has numerous tattoos to include the following: “ARC” on his ring finger, “DÉJÀ VU” on his stomach, and a cross and his mother’s name, “IYA WOCITA OYA” on his back.

A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information leading directly to the fugitive’s arrest. Anyone with information is urged to contact the nearest U.S. Marshals Service office or the U.S. Marshals Service Communications Center at 1-800-336-0102, or
