Suspect Arrested in Prostitution of a Minor by U.S. Marshals

Greensboro, NC - This morning at 9:00 AM, Kenneth Ward, a 37 year old male, was arrested by the U.S. Marshal Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF). On December 5, 2015 warrants were issued by Raleigh Police Department charging Ward with Human Trafficking Child Victim and Promoting Prostitution of a Minor.

On December 5, 2015, Ward is alleged to have feloniously held the juvenile victim in sexual servitude and did feloniously entice, force, encourage, or otherwise facilitate a minor to participate in prostitution.

The JFTF arrested Ward at a residence located at 1730 Luray Drive, Greensboro, NC. Ward refused to answer the door of the residence and entry was made by the JFTF. Ward was discovered hiding underneath the bed of the one bedroom apartment.

Ward was then transported to Raleigh Police Department for interviewing purposes. Conditions of Ward’s custody/release are unknown at this time.

The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force for the Middle District of North Carolina is comprised of investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service, Chapel Hill Police Department, Durham Police Department, Greensboro Police Department, High Point Police Department, Winston-Salem Police Department, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Department of Community Corrections – Probation & Parole and the Department Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
