|The United States Marshals Service Expands Fugitive Task Force with Cold Case Unit|
Cleveland, OH – United States Marshal Pete Elliott and Northeast Regional Adult Parole Director Todd Ishee announce the expansion of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force with the new Cold Case Unit.
The United States Marshals Service Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Adult Parole Authority have once again teamed up with its federal and local partners to expand the task force and specifically target “Cold Case” Fugitives. The Cold Case Unit will have dedicated and experienced full time investigative personnel utilizing all the assets of the U.S. Marshals Service and the Adult Parole Authority to assist our partners with tracking down those fugitives in the Northern District of Ohio who are alleged to be uncatchable.
“The Cold Case Unit was established to put a fresh set of eyes on an old case.” Working alongside our local partners, federal marshals provide manpower and technology. "Our task force is a force-multiplier," explained Peter Elliott, U.S. Marshal. "We bring experience and extra tools to the table, and we concentrate on one thing: catching violent offenders no matter how long they have been on the run!"
