New Mexico's Most Wanted: U.S. Marshals Are Looking for 'Speedy'

Las Cruces, NM – The United States Marshal Service and the New Mexico Department of Corrections Probation and Parole division are requesting assistance in locating Carl "Speedy" Burleson. Burleson is wanted on charges stemming from absconding from a re-entry facility and using methamphetamine. Burleson served a 40 month sentence in prison following a conviction for felon in possession of a Firearm. Burleson has an extensive violent criminal history.

Burleson is a member of "Crazy Town Roswell" a New Mexico Department of Corrections prison gang made up of prisoners from the Roswell area. Burleson is also a member of the "Surenos" street gang and during his most recent term of confinement became a member of the SNM prison gang which is known for extreme violence. Burleson was last seen with a Hispanic female driving an older model white pick-up truck. Burleson may be in the Albuquerque or Roswell area. Burleson is known to use methamphetamine and should be considered armed and dangerous.
