New Mexico’s Most Wanted Adds a New Violent Offender

Roswell, NM - At approximately 4:00 a.m. on Friday, November 1, Police officers in Roswell responded to the 200 block of East Frazier Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival officers discovered a female victim with several gunshot wounds. Suspected shooter Leroy Acosta (31) is currently attempting to avoid apprehension by Law Enforcement. His victim currently remains in medical care.

Deputies and Task Force Officers assigned to the United States Marshals Service South West Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) Task Force are actively trying to find Acosta and it is believed he is still in the Roswell area. It is asked that that anyone with information contact either the Roswell Police Department or the United States Marshals Service.
