U.S. Marshals Arrest Michigan Sex Offender in Hawaii

Aiea, HI Ė On Monday, October 21, 2013 at approximately 6:15 am, members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force located and arrested 50 year-old Roderick Jenkins of Detroit, Michigan at an apartment on Koauka Loop in Aiea, Hawaii.

On February 13, 2008, an arrest warrant for Jenkins was issued by Michiganís Department of Corrections for parole violation. U.S. Marshal and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Task Force Officers first tracked Jenkins to Hawaii and then to a residence in Aiea. Task Force members entered the Aiea residence and apprehended Jenkins who was found hiding in a bedroom closet.

Jenkins is a convicted sex offender who fled Michigan which in turn violated his parole. Jenkins has previous convictions for Armed Robbery, Breaking & Entering with Intent, and Criminal Sexual Conduct-Force.

Jenkins was transported to the Honolulu Police Departmentís Central Receiving for booking pending a court appearance and extradition back to Michigan.
