U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Arrests Violent Fugitive

WPAFTF LogoErie, PA – The U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, assisted by officers from the Erie Bureau of Police, arrested Frank Johnson. Johnson, 63, was taken into custody at approximately 10:15 am at a residence in the 600 block of East 4th Street in Erie without incident.

Johnson was wanted by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole since June 28, 2013. Johnson was on parole for convictions of Persons not to Possess a Firearm, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and Flight to Avoid Apprehension.

The Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force in Erie is made up of the following member agencies: U.S. Marshals, U.S. Attorney’s Office, Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Unit, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Erie County Detectives Bureau, Erie County Sheriff’s Office and the Venango County Sheriff’s Office.
