Suspect Wanted in Florida Sexual Battery Case Arrested in North Carolina

Jamestown, NC – This afternoon at 12:45 PM, David Keith Manson, a 39 year old, Black Male, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF). Manson is sought by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) in Tallahassee, Florida for the offense of sexual battery on a child under the age of 12 by a defendant 18 years of age or older.

On May 9, 2013, the LCSO - Tallahassee, Florida, requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service, Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force (FCRFTF), in apprehending Manson. Manson has been identified as a multi-state offender with numerous prior arrests.

During the course of this investigation, the FCRFTF developed information indicating Manson was currently residing at 3216 Dillon Road, Jamestown, North Carolina. JFTF conducted surveillance at the above address and Manson was taken into custody by JFTF without incident.

The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force for the Middle District of North Carolina is comprised of investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service, Chapel Hill Police Department, Durham Police Department, Greensboro Police Department, High Point Police Department, Winston Salem Police Department, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety Probation and Parole Division and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
