Round Rock Robbery, Kidnapping Suspect Arrested by Task Force
"Lured Victim, Robbed, Threatened with Machetes"

LSFTF LogoAustin, TX – Ismely Yaima Fundura, 19, of Austin was arrested yesterday by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in a trailer park community in Lockhart, Texas without incident. Fundura was sought by the Round Rock Police Department in early July for a recent aggravated robbery and kidnapping involving others where Fundura allegedly lured the victim under the pretense of providing private dances and services. When the victim arrived, others converged with machetes towards the victim forcing him to enter a home in Round Rock. Under threat of being killed, the victim was robbed of money and personal belongings and eventually released by the suspects.

Task force officers were alerted to Fundura’s presence in a trailer park off of FM 2001. Surveillance was established by law enforcement for several hours until officers were able to confirm Fundura’s identity. She was quickly taken into custody and did not put up any resistance.

Fundura was transferred to the custody of Detectives with the Round Rock Police Department where she awaits further hearings in Williamson County District Court.

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force will continue efforts to apprehend others involved in this criminal act.

Robert R. Almonte, United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas states, “Our commitment to continue to jointly collaborate on fugitive matters with our law enforcement partners will assure our community that we will continue to aggressively investigate and hold those accountable for their actions.”
