U.S. Marshals Arrest Vermont Man Wanted for an Aggravated Assault with a Sword

Burlington, VT -- The U.S. Marshals Service Vermont Violent Offender Task Force (VVOTF) arrested a Vermont fugitive who was wanted for First Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault, Aggravated Assault with a Weapon and Disorderly Conduct stemming from an incident that occurred in St. Albans, VT on June 23rd, 2013.

Kyle Wallace, age 24, of St. Albans, VT was arrested on Thursday, June 27th in Burlington, VT when he was located by Deputy U.S. Marshals and Vermont State Police. An arrest warrant was issued for Wallace on June 26th, 2013 stemming from an assault investigation by the St. Albans Police Department. It is alleged that during the assault of a family member, Wallace also injured an intervening person with a sword. Wallace fled the scene and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Wallace was arrested in Burlington by members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force without incident. He was held at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Center for lack of $50,000 bail.

Wallace’s arrest was a result of a culmination of investigative efforts by the U.S. Marshals VVOTF, the St. Albans Police Department and the Vermont State Police. Any inquiries regarding this criminal case should be directed to the St. Albans Police Department.
