Conduct Sex Offender Compliance Check

Juneau County, WI – The U.S. Marshals along with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Sex Offender Registry Program and the Juneau County Sheriff’s Department conducted a residence verification operation for registered sex offenders. On June 17th and 18th deputies checked the addresses of 48 registered sex offenders in Juneau County. One was found to be non-compliant. The Sex Offender Registry Program Specialist will investigate and make recommendations to the district attorney.

This initiative is part of the working relationship between the U.S. Marshals Sex Offender Investigations Branch and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Sex Offender Registration Program which monitors all 22,774 Wisconsin Sex Offenders.
