Pittsburgh Police Team up with U.S. Marshals to Capture Homicide Suspect

Pittsburgh, PA - Pittsburgh homicide suspect Dorian Peebles was apprehended at approximately 9:00 am this morning by members of the United States Marshals Service Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force and Pittsburgh Police. Peebles, age 22, was charged June 7, 2013 by the Pittsburgh Police Department with Criminal Homicide, Conspiracy-Criminal Homicide, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Aggravated Assault and Recklessly Endangering another Person. Peebles is accused in the February 28, 2013 shooting death of Tiona Jackson on East Warrington Avenue in the Beeltzhoover section of Pittsburgh. A second male victim was shot multiple times during this incident.

Peebles was arrested by U.S. Marshals Task Force officers and Pittsburgh Police without incident at a residence in the 3200 block of Faronia Street, Pittsburgh and was turned over to Pittsburgh Police Homicide Detectives.

In addition to officers from the City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police; the U.S. Marshals Task Force includes officers from the Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole, Allegheny County Sheriffs, and Westmoreland County. These agencies, along with the United States Attorney’s Office, are participating members of the U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force (WPAFTF).
