Task Force Makes Two Arrests

Carrboro, NC – This morning at 10:15 AM, Tyrone Keith Riggsbee Jr., a 23 year old, Black Male, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF). Riggsbee had warrants for Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, three counts of Assault by pointing a gun, Assault on a female, Damage to Personal Property, and Damage to Real Property by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

JFTF located Riggsbee at 404 Jones Ferry Road Apt F15 and was taken into custody without incidents. Riggsbee was transported to the Orange County Jail and was given a $250,000.00 secured bond.

Greensboro, NC – This morning at 10:55 AM, Rasheed Ahmad King, a 24 year old, Black Male, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF) and the Greensboro Police Department. Warrants were taken out on King for four counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon stemming from four separate incidents. King also had an additional twenty warrants and orders for arrest including Simple Affray, Hit and run, Reckless driving, and Larceny.

Investigative efforts lead members of the JFTF to set up surveillance in the neighborhood of the Trinity Garden Apartments off of Tillman Rd. Once King was positively identified, the JFTF moved into attempt arrest and a foot chase ensued causing deputies to deploy a taser. King was arrested at 2219 Tillman Rd. More charges are currently pending with the Greensboro Police Department.

The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force for the Middle District of North Carolina is comprised of investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service, Chapel Hill Police Department, Durham Police Department, Greensboro Police Department, High Point Police Department, Winston Salem Police Department, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety Probation and Parole Division and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
