Alleged Child Molester Captured in Orland, California

Orland, CA – U.S. Marshal Albert Najera of the Eastern District of California announced today that the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 44 year old Pascual DeJesus in Orland, California. DeJesus was wanted for Continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14.

The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office was investigating DeJesus for allegedly continuously committing lewd and sexual acts of a minor under the age of 14. Before DeJesus could be questioned DeJesus fled in January 2011 and on a February 4th 2011 a warrant for his arrest was issued. However DeJesus was believed to be in Mexico. The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office contacted the U.S. Marshals Service to help locate DeJesus.

On October 15, 2012 members of the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF) Sacramento Division went to Orland, California to interview family of DeJesus. While at a location on Newport Avenue a cargo van pulled up to the apartment complex. Deputy U.S. Marshals (DUSM) and Task Force Officer’s (TFO) believed it was DeJesus with his wife. DUSMs and TFOs contacted the subject who was very nervous and would not give his name. The subject was detained and identified as DeJesus by family members. DeJesus was transported and booked into the Tehama County Jail.

The Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force is a U.S. Marshals-sponsored partnership comprised of investigators from federal, state, and local agencies.
