U.S. Marshals Take Nakoula Into Custody

WASHINGTON – Nakoula Basseley Nakoula was taken into custody today by the U.S. Marshals Service, in coordination with the U.S. Probation Office, for alleged violations of his supervised release conditions stemming from a prior federal bank fraud conviction.

He made an initial court appearance before Judge Suzanne Segal in federal court in the Central District of California. He was ordered detained and was remanded to the custody the U.S. Marshals Service.
