Marshals Arrest Brown Pride Gang Member in Bloomfield, NM

Albuquerque, NM – Late yesterday evening, United States Marshals South West Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) task force arrested Erick Garcia in Bloomfield, NM. Garcia was indicted by the United States District Court and had warrants for being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Trafficking Methamphetamine. Last week, Garcia was added to the District of New Mexico’s Most Wanted list for being a violent fugitive gang member. Garcia’s known to law enforcement officers as being a member of the Brown Pride gang operating in the Farmington metro area.

Deputy United States Marshals developed information that Erick Garcia was in a home on County Road 5295 in Bloomfield, NM. Marshals heard Garcia was visiting family members looking for a ride out of town. SWIFT task force Deputies surrounded the home and gave several announcements ordering Garcia to exit the residence. After a few minutes, Garcia came to the door and surrendered to Deputy Marshals. Garcia was taken into custody without incident.
