Albuquerque, NM – On Friday, January 6, 2012, the United States Marshals Service fugitive task force took 3 sex offenders into custody in Albuquerque, NM. The Marshals Service developed information into the 3 fugitives and their whereabouts in Albuquerque. Friday morning, Deputy Marshals arrested the first fugitive Richard McCarty(54) in the North Valley, in the afternoon Vincent Eddleston(34) was arrested on I-40 just outside of Edgewood, NM , and in the evening, Jeremy Jaramillo(35) was arrested in a hotel near Eubank in North East Albuquerque.

Vincent Eddleston had a warrant for his arrest charging him with Sexual Assault out of Kenosha, Wisconsin. Eddleston was also the suspect in a Child Abduction of a 9 year old girl. Law Enforcement Officers from the Marshals Service South West Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) task force lined the freeway looking for one of Eddleston’s four vehicles he would possibly be driving. The vehicle was observed coming into Albuquerque and Deputies made the decision to stop the vehicle in the East Mountains for the safety of all involved. The 9 year old girl was with Eddleston and she was rescued, Eddleston was taken into custody and booked into the Torrance County Detention Center where he awaits extradition back to Wisconsin.

Jeremy Jaramillo was charged with multiple counts of Criminal Sexual Penetration and Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor under 13 years of Age and Kidnapping in the first degree. Jaramillo has been a fugitive of justice since November 22, 2011. Jaramillo was booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center.

McCarty, was booked on warrants charging him with Criminal Sexual Penetration and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. McCarty, is a known Sex Offender stemming from charges in Texas. As Deputy Marshals were taking McCarty into custody they found a female hiding in the closet. The female was identified as Crystal Lester(30). Lester had a warrant for Felony Larceny and was also arrested and booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center along with McCarty.
