Occupy Oakland Shooter Apprehended

Oakland, CA With the assistance of the United States Marshals Service, Oakland Police Department, San Francisco Police Department, Lexington, Kentucky Police Department, and members of the Oakland Community, the suspect responsible for the shooting death of Kayode Foster outside of the Occupy Oakland encampment at Frank Ogawa Plaza on November 10, 2011 has been arrested.

On Sunday, November 27, 2011, Oakland Police Major Crime Investigators were notified by the Lexington Kentucky Police Department that Norris Terrell had been arrested on the Oakland Police murder warrant.

On December 1, 2011, The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office formally charged Oakland resident, Norris Terrell with one count of Murder and Shooting into an Inhabited Dwelling.

During the course of the investigation, three additional adult male Oakland residents were arrested and charged by the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office with Assault With a Deadly Weapon in regard to the beating of Kayode Foster just prior to the shooting.
