Portland, ME – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Violent Offender Task Force announces the arrest of a Portland, Maine man.

Raymond Lester, 35, of Portland, Maine was arrested late Monday evening in Cancun, Mexico. Lester was wanted by Maine State Police on a warrant issued on June 21st 2022 for one count of murder. Lester was also being sought on a federal warrant issued on June 29th 2022 for Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution.

San Antonio, TX – Juan Antonio Reyes was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) this evening on charges involving capital murder.

Reyes, 24, was wanted by the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) after a warrant was issued for his arrest yesterday. Reports stated that Reyes allegedly shot and killed 2 victims in their home, then set their home on fire.

Martinsburg, WV – On July 19, 2022, members of the U.S. Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force arrested Zymir Humphrey, 19. Zymir Humphrey was wanted by New York Police Department for a homicide committed in Manhattan in May of 2022.

Los Angeles, CA – The U.S. Marshals are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man who was one of three charged with attempted murder and robbery following the February 24, 2021, attempted kidnapping of three French bulldogs belonging to American popstar Lady Gaga.

Canton, OH – This morning, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested David Hanshe, 34. Hanshe was wanted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for 5 counts of rape of a child.

Memphis, TN – Tyreece Miller, U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Tennessee, announces the arrest of Lardarius Gordon, 27, and Ladarius Bonds, 20, for two unrelated murders.

Lardarius Bonds was wanted for First Degree Murder for a shooting that occurred on April 2, 2022, on Lamar Ave. When the Memphis Police Department responded to the call, they located a male with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to the Regional One Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Akron, OH – The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) and Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) recently began investigating the whereabouts of Makenzie Carson (15), a missing juvenile. Carson had been reported missing to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources after she couldn’t be located around her campsite at the Mosquito Creek State Park on July 7, 2022. Her whereabouts up until this morning were unknown. The USMS Missing Child Unit has been vigorously investigating her whereabouts in conjunction with local law enforcement agencies.

Jackson, TN – U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller announces the arrest of Deshawn Gorman, 25, on two counts of First-Degree Murder out of Dyer County, Tenn. Gorman was also wanted for Possession of a Weapon, Abatement of Nuisances, Simple Possession of Schedule VI, and a Failure to Appear warrant for Aggravated Assault and Felony Possession of a Handgun also in Dyer County.

Concord, NH – This morning, the United States Marshals Service – NH Joint Fugitive Task Force is reporting that last week’s featured “Fugitive of the Week” has been located.

Martinsburg, WV – The U.S. Marshals Service, Mountain State Fugitive Task Force is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Samuel Rose, 48, of Martinsburg, WV. On July 20, 2021, a warrant for Samuel Rose was issued by a federal grand jury, charging Rose with conspiracy to distribute cocaine and other drug charges. The U.S. Marshals Task Force is assisting the FBI in locating and arresting Samuel Rose. Samuel Rose has ties to West Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania.

Cedar Rapids, IA – The U.S. Marshals Northern Iowa Fugitive Task Force has been conducting an initiative focused on apprehending Iowa’s Most Wanted fugitive sex offenders, playing a unique role in efforts to combat child exploitation.

New York – The U.S. Marshals Service has conducted a high-impact fugitive apprehension initiative focusing on the country’s most violent offenders in 10 cities.

This 30-day initiative, called Operation North Star (ONS), resulted in the arrest of 339 violent criminals in New York City. New York City led the nation with the most arrests among all 10 cities.

Philadelphia, PA – The U.S. Marshals Service has conducted a high-impact fugitive apprehension initiative focusing on the country’s most violent offenders in 10 cities, including Philadelphia.

This 30-day initiative, called Operation North Star (ONS), resulted in the arrest of more than 85 fugitives, gang members, sex offenders and violent criminals in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Memphis, TN – The U.S. Marshals Service has conducted a high-impact fugitive apprehension initiative focusing on the country’s most violent offenders in 10 cities, including Memphis, Tenn. This 30-day initiative, called Operation North Star (ONS) resulted in the arrest of 122 fugitives, sex offenders, and violent criminals wanted in the Bluff City.

Houston, TX – The U.S. Marshals Service has concluded a high-impact fugitive apprehension initiative aimed at combating violent crime in 10 cities that have a significant rate of homicides and shootings.

This 30-day initiative, called Operation North Star, resulted in the arrest of 152 fugitives in Houston. Violent criminals, sex offenders and self-identified gang members in Baltimore, Chicago, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Memphis, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington with outstanding violent warrants were targeted.

Washington – The U.S. Marshals Service has concluded a high-impact fugitive apprehension initiative aimed at combating violent crime in 10 cities with a significant number of homicides and shootings.

This 30-day initiative, called Operation North Star (ONS), resulted in the arrest of 1,501 fugitives, violent criminals, sex offenders, and self-identified gang members in Baltimore, Chicago, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Memphis, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.

Baltimore, MD – The U.S. Marshals Service has concluded a high-impact fugitive apprehension initiative aimed at combating violent crime in 10 cities with a significant number of homicides and shootings. The Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF), District of Maryland, Baltimore City Police Department, and task force partners led Operation North Star (ONS) throughout the area of Baltimore, MD. Locally, the 30-day initiative resulted in the arrest of 89 fugitives, violent criminals, sex offenders and self-identified gang members.

Washington, D.C. – During the month of June, the U.S. Marshals Service’s Superior and District Courts, and the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, partnered with several agencies to lead Operation North Star D.C., a national initiative focused on the investigation and arrest of violent fugitives operating within the Washington D.C. area. Operation North Star was deployed as an immediate impact operation intended to support partner agencies and community members with relief from violent crime.

New Orleans, LA – Operation North Star, a nation-wide U.S. Marshals Service operation focused on violent crime reduction, was conducted in 10 cities (Chicago, Washington D.C., New York City, Memphis, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Houston, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, and Baltimore) over a 30-day period, spanning the month of June. Nationwide there were over 1400 arrests (to include 230 for Homicide), and 160 plus firearms seized.

Los Angeles, CA – The U.S. Marshals Service has conducted a high-impact fugitive apprehension initiative focusing on the country’s most violent offenders in 10 cities.

This 30-day initiative, called Operation North Star (ONS), resulted in the arrest of 192 fugitives, gang members, sex offenders and violent criminals in the Los Angeles City area.
