August 18, 1016 - The United States Marshals Service Violent Offender Task Force, along with the Gaston County Police, located and arrested Felix Perez-Ruiz. A warrant was issued in Puerto Rico in 2013 for Homicide and Perez-Ruiz fled to the continental United States shortly after to avoid capture.
August 17, 2016 - The U.Ss Marshals Service Violent Offender Task Force located and arrested Juan Morales today in Charlotte, NC. A warrant was issued for Morales in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 16, 2014 for the Rape of two minor twin girls.
February 06, 2015 - Federal agents with the U.S. Marshals Service and Immigration and Customs Enforcement located and apprehended a cold case homicide suspect in Charlotte, NC. Eduardo Juarez Dominguez was taken into custody for allegedly committing a homicide in San Bernardino, California in 1998.
January 23, 2015 - The U.S. Marshals Service in Charlotte, along with members of Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Shawn Greer in Lincolnton, NC. Greer was wanted by the Norfolk, VA Police Department for Murder, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, along with Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
September 19, 2014 - A total of 138 defendants have been arrested and currently face state charges in connection with operation “Southern Snare,” an anti-gang and violent crime reduction initiative led by the United States Marshals Service in coordination with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.
July 22, 2014 - The U.S. Marshals Service – Western District of North Carolina’s Violent Offender Task Force, along with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, arrested Michael Gayle, in Charlotte, NC. Gayle was wanted in Washington, DC for a warrant, charging him with 2nd degree murder, while armed.
November 13, 2009 - Friday the thirteenth has proved to be a very unlucky day for a Madison County jail escapee and an 18 year old associate. On November 4, 2009, Benjamin Justin Jones escaped as he was being booked into the Madison County on federal charges of providing false information to a United States Forest Service Officer.
January 09, 2009 - Members of the United States Marshals Service Hornet’s Nest Fugitive Task Force arrested Alex Zavala-Morales, 48, in Charlotte on January 08, 2009 for four counts of third degree rape and endangering the welfare of a 15 year old girl.
